Children's Art Display

A cute & easy way to display children's artwork is something I'm sure a lot of you have seen. I found a way to do it cute & super cheap. It's the kind where you use picture hanging wire & little clips to hold the artwork. I found some cute decorative metal hooks (ones that you would hang a jacket or potholder or something on)at the Dollar store & I got one that was a bee and one that was a ladybug. I already had a certain lenghth of picture haninging wire so I guess-timated how far apart the hooks should be & marked where I wanted them on the wall. I chose to do mine in our playroom because, it just made sense. I attached the wire to both hooks & hung the hooks on the wall. As I had been thinking of doing this project one day, I already had some cute clips that I found at a garage sale for 50 cents. There were tiny colorful binder clips, tiny plastic colorful clothes pins & another kind of cute painted metal clips all in a little box and for 50 cents, this was a must-have! I picked 4 pieces of my sons more recent artwork (3 from pre-school & 1 free-hand drawing that he did at home)and clipped them to the wire. It looked really cute and it is fun to change out the pictures every so often to display his current works of art. I would like to have a longer wire to display more but, for now, I used the short wire I had & a small wall & later, I can use a longer wire on a longer wall. Give it a try & watch you kids smile proudly at their works of art!
